Estimator – North London

I am working alongside a highly prestigious client, a commercial fit-out main contractor, in the search for an Estimator based in North London.

Description:

Your role will consist of the following tasks throughout your day-to-day:

• Meeting tender deadlines and completing tenders with an accurate/competitive net cost
• Be able to estimate on a wide variety of project types ranging from D&B and JCT traditional forms of contract in the £200k to £1.5 million range.
• Build up relationships with subcontractors

Responsibilities:

• Proficient in preparing Bills of Quantities and schedules of work
• Select subcontractors that are suitable for the works that are being tendered and can cope with the work in the proposed timescales
• Adhere to all standard company processes and procedures
• Take full ownership of the tenders you manage
• Ensure supply chain quotes are selected for competitiveness accuracy and
• compliance for bids.
• Work in conjunction with the operations team to support the production of
• tender programmes.
• Engage with the Operations teams to include the prelim and constructional
• complexities in the tender.
• Work with the bid team to reflect the quality submission in the tender
• Building and maintaining effective client and supplier relationships.
• Ensuring key risks and opportunities are identified.
