Deputy Engineering Manager- FM Service Provider-West London, up to £55,000 per annum
A brilliant opportunity has arisen to work for an established building services company. My client is looking for a Deputy Engineering Manager to be based at a large commercial site situated in West London.
The successful candidate will ideally be multi-skilled with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance and hold previous experience as an engineering/ maintenance manager.
The successful candidate will be from a building services background with a wealth of experience within building services. He or she will be based in a healthcare environment managing building supervisors & a team of on-site engineers, reporting directly into the Operations Manager. A current HV qualification is essential for this role.
In return the company are offering a competitive salary paying up to £55,000 based on experience / qualifications
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Report directly into the Operations Manager
- Assist in with the “day to day” running of the contract when required
- Assist in the management of all maintenance staff on the contracts
- To manage the delegated authority for the operation of the contract, whilst maintaining general overview and development of key client relationships
- Be responsible for day to day management of operational performance, disaster recovery procedures, health, safety and welfare of the team
- To manage and be responsible for the day work team and specialist sub contractor’s performance
- To ensure the company Health & Safety policy is adhered to within the scheme of responsibilities
- Manage the issue and completion and responsibility for all specialist subcontractor PPM and reactive works
- Management of all records for PPM, reactive tasks, including statutory compliance and warranty certification on the CAFM system, provision of a monthly performance report, measured against the appropriate KPI’s/SLA’s
- Management of all HV & LV installations, authorised persons and switching schedules
- Manage via the Supervisor Fabric PPM and reactive activities to be carried out by the site team. Ensuring all worksheets and completion records are processed onto the CAFM system
- To identify additional works opportunities and provide input into scope, resourcing, costing, and completion timescales. To support the engineering manager and service desk in the preparation of additional works quotations.
- Attend client meetings as and when required if required
Hours of Work & Salary
- Up to £55,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)
- 8am – 5pm
- Monday to Friday (40-hour week)
Requirements
- LV & HV Authorised- Essential
- ONC / HNC in Engineering
- You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
- A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of staff and clients.
