Quantity Surveyor

My Client, a respected SME housebuilder are currently on the search for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join there Commercial Team in Bristol.

This is a great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a growing SME housebuilder, with projects currently in and around Bristol and a solid pipeline for the coming years, this opening is perfect for an individual looking to further progress there career and move into a senior role in the near future. With a typical unit size per project of 10-50 units, my client put quality at the forefront of all there schemes, therefore experience working within a quality over quantity environment is crucial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain budget control throughout the project
• Analyse and report on cash-flow using implemented support systems
• Subcontractor recommendations
• Start Site budgets as well as Sales to start marketing
• Prepare tenders, materials and overall project goods
• Liaise with all site workers as well as subcontractors
• Project meetings as well as commercial meetings to discuss project movement
• Compilation of reports throughout the project (weekly, monthly, quarterly)

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

• General current market knowledge, rates/costs
• IT skills, prior projects using computer based commercial software; Valuation, project management/payment software
• Ability to communicate clear and concisely under pressure
• Experience as a QS with a large PLC housebuilder (adventageous)
• Experience as a QS with SME housebuilder

Salary

• £55,000 – £60,000 plus package
