Job Title: Estimator
Salary: £70,000 – £100,000 basic salary (dependant on experience, plus additional company benefits)

My client is a prestigious specialist contractor that specialises in intricate Central London demolition and enabling works projects. They are seeking to expand their business and project portfolio as the company experiences sustainable growth. Therefore, my client is in a strong position to take on an experienced Civils Estimator to assist in winning tenders and bringing in new business.
You would be working amongst a close-nit team of industry professionals and of varying backgrounds to provide estimating services for tender opportunities predominantly within the London markets. The areas you’d cover would include groundworks, civils, deep basement construction (including temporary works), piling, waterproofing, underpinning and drainage packages.
Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge
- Self-starter
- Excellent attention to detail
- Measurement and take off drawings using Bluebeam or similar. Measurement using SMM7/NRM2 methods and through bills supplied by clients
- Experience preparing detailed BoQ
- Awareness of key subcontracts / suppliers and current market trends
- Experience in estimating a range of civils and deep basement projects with different methodologies and constraints
- Ability to analyse information to inform decisions
- Confidence in presenting estimates to internal teams and client teams
- Ability to estimate from first principles
- Working within a tender team (including project managers, engineers etc)
