Our client, a leading M&E building services contractor, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Freelance Mechanical Project Manager to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a company that has a strong reputation in the industry, particularly within the commercial fit-out sector.
About the Role:
As a Freelance Mechanical Project Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing and delivering high-profile commercial fit-out projects in Central London. The division has experienced significant growth, and you will be responsible for managing projects ranging from £2.5 million to £15 million. Reporting directly to the Group Projects Director, you will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of mechanical building services projects from inception to completion.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and finalization of projects according to strict deadlines and budgets.
- Provide leadership and direction to the project team, ensuring all work complies with industry standards and regulations.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and present project reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager in the building services or M&E contracting sector.
- Strong track record of delivering commercial fit-out projects in Central London.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members.
- Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
