Company Overview

A leading Tier One M&E contractor in London is seeking an experienced M&E Contracts Manager to take ownership of delivering multiple high-value projects (£10-30m MEP) across Zones 1 & 2.

You’ll be overseeing 2-4 complex engineering schemes within the commercial, residential, and mixed-use sectors, working in partnership with prestigious main contractors including Mace, McLaren, Multiplex, and Sir Robert McAlpine with overall leadership over circa £40 million worth of work.

Key Duties & responsibilities

  • Project Leadership – Lead the end-to-end delivery of 2-4 complex MEP schemes (£10-30m each) across commercial, residential, and mixed-use sectors.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management – Act as the primary point of contact for Tier One main contractors (Mace, McLaren, Multiplex, Sir Robert McAlpine), consultants, and end clients, ensuring strong working relationships and repeat business.
  • Commercial Oversight – Take ownership of budgets, cost plans, and forecasts, ensuring projects are delivered to agreed financial targets while maximising value.
  • Programme & Delivery – Oversee project programmes, ensuring works are delivered on time, to specification, and in line with quality and safety standards.
  • Team Leadership – Manage and mentor project teams, including Project Managers, Engineers, and commercial staff, driving high performance and professional development.
  • Risk & Compliance – Monitor and manage project risks, contractual obligations, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Reporting & Communication – Provide clear, accurate reporting to senior leadership on project progress, financial performance, and key risks/opportunities.
  • Business Growth – Play a key role in supporting the contractor’s continued growth, contributing to strategic goals and positioning for future senior leadership opportunities.
