Account Director – Critical Facilities

You will be working for a leading facility and building maintenance service provider on one of their flagship data centre accounts. They are an internationally leading service provider whose clients consist of niche public sector and heritage sites, all the way through to blue chip, fortune 500 companies in finance and tech.

Job

An Account Director is required to oversee the delivery of a flagship TFM contract to a Fortune 500 clients’ data centre portfolio. You will be responsible for our client’s critical data centre operation ensuring 100% uptime, managing all service lines through both the on-site team and specialist suppliers. You will act as point of escalation for the client and will direct the long-term strategy of the account while driving the operational delivery across the portfolio.

Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for financial P&L and revenue performance, customer satisfaction, health safety, security, environmental and statutory performance in accordance with service level requirements.
  • Deliver operational performance (financial and non-financial) targets against agreed service standards, including compliance with Financial & Procurement Regulations.
  • Critically review all processes, systems and means of providing hard services; develop and implement improvements and performance targets.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and institutional requirements and recommended best practice.
  • Oversee the creation and delivery of a rolling Life Cycle Replacement programme, which coordinates all required PPM building fabric and infrastructure tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with Business Development teams to ensure best practice and appropriate design solutions for new projects.
  • Drive continuous financial and service improvement – Improving cost efficiency while maintaining consistency or improving service levels, responsive to changing business needs.
  • Leadership and management of Incidents and Incident Management processes, including Business Continuity planning.

Experience and Requirements

  • You will need to be a strong communicator as the scope of the role will see you interacting with several stakeholders, internally and externally with a real focus on our customer, contract, and supply chain.
  • Previous experience within the Data Centre industry is paramount – minimum 5 years.
  • Demonstrable history of successful commercial delivery.
  • Recognised apprenticeship, HNC/D Electrical/mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • IOSH or equivalent
  • Extensive knowledge of FM and security legislation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills

Depending on experience this job will pay between £90,000 – £110,000 and comes with a generous package.
