GH Engage is recruiting for one of our well-renowned consultancy clients who is actively seeking an ASSISTANT QUANTITY SURVEYOR to immediately join their commercial team while working closely with the Commercial Manager and Lead Quantity Surveyor who will provide ongoing training and guidance.
The role can include but is not limited to:
- Supporting the Commercial Team and Lead Quantity Surveyor.
- Obtaining cost information (estimating data, quotations, etc.)
- Obtaining and agreeing on procurement schedule.
- Establishing valuation dates.
- Raising invoices.
- Submitting valuations.
- Placing sub-contract orders.
- Submitting cost value reconciliations.
- Submitting and agreeing on the final account.
- Further Quantity Surveying duties.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualifications in either Quantity Surveying or similar.
- Experience within a PQS/Consultancy firm.
- Excellent attention to detail, able to gather, interpret and present data to facilitate the preparation of budgets and subsequent valuations.
- The ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to contribute towards the resolution of disputes, problems, and cost issues.
- Communication skills, the ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally.
Salary: £25,000-£35,000 based on experience
