Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 basic salary (Plus additional company benefits)

Company Description
My client is a specialist residential developer that is a market-leader in large-scale developments nationally. They pride themselves on growth and maintaining a keen eye for detail throughout each project that they carry out. The projects specific to this role that my client carries out are situated in Hertfordshire, and take the form of high-rise RC frame structures and traditional one-off builds.
Due to an extremely healthy project status and incoming pipeline upon project completion, my client have found themselves in the fortunate position where they can benefit from an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. The candidate must be a driven, hard-working individual that seeks progression and a long term career with an established company.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Assisting the QS/Senior QS with commercial administration and management on several live projects or projects during the pre-construction phase
- Assisting with Sub-contract procurement and commercial management
- Assisting with management and control of sub-contract accounts and variation accounts
- Supporting the QS in the management of day-to-day cost control, monitoring and reporting
- Monitoring progress in submitting valuations, final accounts and retention release and receipt of payment in a timely manner
- Assisting the QS/Senior QS with subcontractor selection and ensure the chosen subcontractor has the appropriate order and information prior to carrying out any work on site
- Preparing relevant and accurate data for cost reports.
Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge
- Attained or ongoing MSc or BSc in Quantity Surveying or HNC/HND in Construction preferrable
- 2+ years Quantity Surveying experience
- Experience with a Main Contractor (preferred)
- Experience with refurbishments, joinery, or fit outs (preferred)
- Experience in the high-end market (preferred)
- Basic experience with valuations and variations, project budgeting, CVRs
