Compliance Manager

A “True Global Player” within the Facilities Maintenance sector which currently operates out of over 30 locations, is looking for a confident and experienced Compliance Manager to join their ever-expanding team on one of their large London based contracts. This organisation focuses on its people, believing if you focus on connecting the people and the places, the world works better.

You will be well educated within the Health and Safety responsibilities of the workplace, ideally, with business-critical experience, be able to travel throughout the UK on quarterly site visits and be willing to implement strict rules and regulations within the built environment, including the enforcement and reporting where needed.

This is a Monday to Friday role, 8am till 5pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering a world-class working environment for clients in partnership with the campus facilities team.
  • Keep engineering standards high to maximize operational effectiveness and reliability of the Plant and associated systems.
  • Assuring compliance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements and the company’s Safe Systems of Work (SSOW)
  • To maintain accurate records and update documentation as directed and adhere to onsite Quality Assurance procedures in all respects.
  • Help desk requests related to Engineering and reactive system companies should be handled as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  • Coordination of initial actions in response to all client requests.
  • Asset Governance should permeate all working activities
  • All company/client training and mandatory training must be completed on time by the wider team
  • Ensure all incidents are escalated and communicated within the contract SLA, actioned, and documented according to policies and procedures
  • Coordination with the Project delivery team as needed
  • The Engineering shift team will be responsible for covering all annual and sickness cover for the site to meet the agreed manning level
  • Maintain all site engineering processes and governance by spot-checking and auditing.
  • Update the contract, conduct regular team meetings, and cascade bulletins
  • Continually improve the skills and knowledge of your employees by conducting annual appraisals
  • Managing finances effectively to budget and respond to financial indicators
  • Consult the wider company community when needed
  • Work with Tririga to coordinate all corrective works, when necessary, for Third-Party Work Orders.
  • Building services help desk requests are responded to promptly and effectively.
  • To coordinate visiting specialist subcontractors associated with all aspects of the PPM schedules.
  • To respond to callouts and cover breakdowns and emergencies associated with all services aspects of the contract as required.
  • Building Services fault diagnosis associated with the PPM or Reactive maintenance of the site.
  • All contract activities, both maintenance and projects and ensure all safety aspects are managed and monitored in accordance with site procedures and requirements.
  • Undertake tasks associated with staff during peak workloads and provide holiday and sickness cover.
  • Take ownership of the client’s needs and pursue effective communications with the customer to build a stable relationship.
  • Maintain accurate records of work done and expenditure, using this information to report to the Operations Manager monthly.

Experience and Requirements

  • At least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Healthy and Safety Degree / NEBOSH
  • Incorporated / Chartered preferred.
  • Health and Safety experience.
  • Experience in managing large teams of engineers on a single site.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Presentable, charismatic, and personable.

Depending on experience this job will pay between £64,000 – £67,000per annum and comes with a wealth of benefits including:
