Contract Manager – Critical Facilities

A Contract Manager with a strong HV background is required to deliver an M&E building maintenance contract to a key client in the City of London, managing a team of engineers as well as sub-contractors. You will have relevant electrical building services qualifications and experience with HV switching.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced manager to join a flagship account for a well-respected service-provider. You will be the first point of contact for the client on a day-to-day basis, as well as being the point of escalation for any technical issues from your team and taking commercial responsibility for the success of the contract.

Accountabilities:

  • Management of a team of engineers; providing technical guidance and general supervision, succession planning, hiring, and holding disciplinary meetings when required.
  • Managing a P&L budget; identifying opportunities for added value.
  • Responsible for deliver of planned and reactive maintenance in-line with Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
  • Ensuring all compliance requirements are met, driving RAMS.
  • Monitoring and overseeing sub-contractors.
  • Overseeing and implementing building shutdowns; ensuring minimum downtime.
  • High Voltage and Low Voltage switching.

Experience and Requirements:

  • You must have an electrical engineering background; either City & Guilds 18th Edition or NVQ Level 2 & 3.
  • Being a High Voltage Authorized Person (AP15) is preferred.
  • You will have a very strong all round technical knowledge and compliance record.
  • Previous Supervisory/Management experience is required.
  • Experience with building shutdowns and HV/LV switching is ideal.
  • You will have successfully managed P&L budgets.

Depending on experience this job will pay £55,000 – £60,000 dependant on experience and comes with a generous package including Death in Service, a pension, private medical insurance and more.
