Many of their clients are mostly or fully operational despite the UK lockdown; as a result, they are still hiring FM and building maintenance staff.
Job
A Contract Manager from an electrical engineering background is required to oversee the delivery of a hard services, M&E maintenance contract to a key client. This is a regional role based at Southend-on-Sea, covering retail and commercial sites around Essex and the South East of England.
Accountabilities:
- Manage a team of 2 Supervisors and approximately 20 engineers, both static and mobile.
- Ensuring all Service Level Agreements are delivered through application of KPI’s.
- Oversee the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance with a first-in class service.
- Manage a P&L of £1.5m; ensuring an increased profit through avenues such as extra works.
- Regularly attending meetings with the client, ensuring satisfactory service is being delivered.
- To ensure that all staff within their control are conversant with the operation and control of critical and noncritical systems installed within the portfolio.
- Ensure optimum staffing structures operate across contracts, balancing cost reduction with the delivery of service excellence.
Experience and Requirements
- Previous experience in the building services industry.
- Previous experience as a Contract Manager with P&L responsibility.
- Completed recognised formal Electrical or Mechanical training to at least city and Guilds level, preferably ONC/HNC or Higher
- Possess an understanding of Health and Safety issues, NEBOSH / IOSH, or equivalent formal training would be desirable.
