Job
A Contract Manager (facilities management and building services) is required to be based in Central London. You will deliver a building maintenance contract to a static site consisting of multiple buildings; commercial, retail, and high-end residential. You will oversee a team of M&E Supervisors and Engineers and report directly to the Account Director.
Accountabilities:
- Ensure all PPM and reactive maintenance is delivered in line with Service Level Agreements.
- Act as point of escalation for any M&E technical issues.
- Manage a team of static engineers and supervisors, overseeing PPM schedules, performance reviews, disciplinary action etc.
- Act as point of contact for the client; efficiently and effectively address any concerns or complaints.
- Responsibility for a P&L budget of approximately £1.5m.
- Commercial responsibility; improving revenue streams such as extra works.
- Reporting regularly to the senior management team, delivering performance reports and forecasts.

Our client is a family run, private facilities management and building maintenance company that operates across the built environment to deliver maintenance contracts, soft services and project works to a large variety of clients. A large part of their business is to deliver M&E maintenance contracts to static corporate sites within the City of London and the surrounding areas, including commercial offices, retail, and high-end residential sites.
Experience and Requirements
- City and Guilds qualified – Electrical or Mechanical Engineer.
- IOSH – desirable.
- Substantial experience working within M&E building maintenance.
- Prior experience with P&L budgets; demonstrable commercial acumen.
- Demonstrate experience & understanding of current Health & Safety compliance requirements.
- Minimum 2 years’ management experience.
- Good Customer relationship skills.
