You will be working directly for one of the UK’s leading Data Centre companies, who manage the life cycle of their data centres from design to operation and maintenance; delivering mission critical facilities specifically in and around the Greater London area. They maintain the Data Centres through a mix of self-delivery from some of the best engineers and managers in the field and partnerships with world-leading contractors.

The client is seeking a Critical Engineering Performance Manager who will provide a direct line of communication between the on-site teams and central management; ensuring “best practice” is being applied in accordance with management’s agreed principals. You will be responsible for the delivery of maintenance in accordance with contractual SLA’s, ensuring zero down time through PPM and incident management.
Accountabilities:
- Ensuring operational excellence across all sites in your purview.
- Communication with stakeholders at all levels to ensure synergy between management principals and operational delivery.
- No customer down time in accordance with contractual SLA’s.
- Application of appropriate Health & Safety policies in accordance with best practice.
- Implement proper use of CAFM system so that Management Information data on labour utilisation is being recorded.
- Carrying out regular spot checks on maintenance activities, as well as audits to assess quality of delivery.
- Ensuring uniformity in compliance with site policies and processes.
- Review of method statements, risk assessments and permit approvals.
- Analysis of post-incident reports and subsequent appropriate adjustments to procedures/policies.
Experience and Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in mission critical environments; operation in live data centres/critical FM sites.
- Relevant engineering qualification in an electrical/mechanical discipline.
- Extensive experience in fault finding, incident management, business continuity in live environments.
- Relevant knowledge/qualifications in Health & Safety; (IOSH/NEBOSH etc)
- Excellent communication skills among stakeholders of all seniorities.
