We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead the electrical package of a landmark £100 million data centre project in Hayes, Middlesex. This is a prestigious opportunity to work on a major data centre build, a project that will shape the future of critical infrastructure in the region.

Our client is one of the UK’s leading M&E building services contractors, renowned for delivering cutting-edge and complex projects across the commercial, critical services, and technology sectors. With a robust track record of delivering high-value projects ranging from £15 million to £150 million, they are now embarking on this marquee data centre project as part of their rapidly expanding critical services portfolio.

My client is seeking a highly experienced Electrical Project Manager with a Tier 1 M&E contracting background, demonstrating a strong track record in successfully delivering data centre projects from inception to completion. Recent, hands-on experience in overseeing all phases of data centre construction is essential.

Responsibilities/Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience working as an Electrical Project Manager within the M&E or data centre sectors.
  • Proven track record of managing high-value electrical packages from inception to completion, with project values exceeding £20 million.
  • Strong design and build experience, particularly within critical services environments like data centres.
  • Ability to lead and manage full on-site teams, including subcontractors, ensuring work is delivered to the highest standards.
  • Expertise in the procurement of sub-packages, contracts, and materials, with the ability to manage the budget effectively.
  • Liaise with clients to manage design variations and ensure that the project meets or exceeds client expectations throughout the lifecycle.
  • Hold regular progress and design meetings with senior management, keeping them informed of key project milestones and financials.
  • Maintain strong relationships with site teams, clients, and all key stakeholders to facilitate smooth delivery.
  • Ensure the highest levels of health and safety compliance throughout the project.
  • Oversee weekly design, progress, and commercial meetings, ensuring that the project is delivered on time and within budget.

Remuneration Package

  • Highly competitive basic salary of up to £100,000, based on experience and performance.
