ESTIMATOR

GH Engage is recruiting for some of our well-renowned consultancy clients who are actively seeking Estimators to join their welcoming work environments.

The role can include but is not limited to:

• Client requirement gathering.
• Researching materials, equipment, and labour costs.
• Gathering quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Assessing the levels of risk on a project.
• Analysing company data, exchange rates, and prices using software packages.
• Preparing and submitting quotations for work.
• Helping bids for new contracts and supporting buying activities.
• Monitoring the stages of a project to make sure that costs are kept in line with forecasts.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• BTEC in Building Studies, Building Engineering, or Building Management or an HNC / HND / Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management / Civil Engineering (including an industrial placement).
• Comfortable understanding architect drawings, specification documents, and the relevant terminology.
• Experience in measuring from drawings, preparing bills of quantities, and using other standard surveying techniques.
• Ideally have a working knowledge of CAD and COINS (or another estimating software).

Salary: £30k – £70k per annum (negotiable based on experience)
