Facilities Manager- FM Service Provider -Walsall – up to £50,000 per annum

A brilliant opportunity to work for an established FM Service Provider based in Walsall, responsible for assisting a national portfolio has arisen!
My client is looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to be based out of Walsall but to responsible for working across a Commercial Portfolio situated in a number of locations on a national basis. The successful candidate will have a proven track record as a Facilities Manager within a commercial building services environment.

Working with the client on site and reporting into Contract Manager, the successful candidate will be required to carry out the following duties.
- Report directly into the Contract Manager
- Responsible for managing the company’s quality procedures across the portfolio
- Leading and engaging with the operational team whilst acting as the point of contact for all occupiers.
- Work with the management team to strategize training and development plans for the operational team.
- The Operations Manager leads by example with hands-on visibility and defines and promotes an operational vision that is relevant and is benefitting the occupiers, visitors, and all other users of the property.
- To be reasonably available outside normal working hours to cover emergency situations.
- Responsible for the development of all staff, which will include annual appraisals.
- Manage staff absenteeism and be responsible for disciplinary issues
- Management of client relationships on a daily basis.
- Management of all reports.
- Ensure signed contracts are in place for all suppliers and that these are reviewed at specified periods including full tender activity, where necessary.
- Audit and check supplier delivery, being responsible for authorisation of contractor invoices for payment with allocated authority.
- Offer support to the client, Contract Manager and the engineering team
- Plan and implement building shutdowns and complex client project works.
- Assist in the management of all maintenance staff on the contracts
- Manage agreed KPI and SLA’s
- Ensure all paperwork is up to date on each contract and ready for audits
- Attend regular client meetings
Hours of Work & Salary
- Up to £50,000 + Package
- Monday to Friday (40 hour week)
- 00am – 17:00pm
Requirements
- A proven track record in commercial building maintenance management
- Experience of service delivery across a commercial portfolio
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of staff and clients.
- Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding and varying workload
- Attend client meetings when required
