General Manager – City of London – £75k to £80k per annum
Are you experienced in Facilities Maintenance and looking for a client-side role in a landmark building, which is based in the City of London?
A multi-national, multi-billion-pound asset management company with a large focus on renewable energy is currently looking for a customer-focused, and presentable General Manager to join one of their well-known buildings in the City of London.
You will be confident and capable of working with others and supervising contractors, familiar with the running of large commercial premises, and adept in health and safety procedures for this commercial building in the City of London.
Key Responsibilities
Using tact and diplomacy to ensure good tenant communications on all issues relating to the day-to-day operations of the building and to ensure all services as required by the respective leases are maintained to the highest possible standard.
- To chair and lead tenant meetings and ensure the timely release of meeting minutes.
- To be responsible for the day-to-day management of the designated buildings and the company staff located therein. Monitor and assess the performance of staff and contractors, taking effective early action to address any shortcomings.
- To liaise with the company’s human resources department to maximise the performance and the contribution of building staff by the setting and achievement of objectives is respect of recruitment, training and motivation.
- To maintain a ‘safety first’ culture, acting as the Responsible Person and taking an active leadership role in the event of emergency situations.
- To readily engage with senior personnel to support leasing and asset management initiatives.
Experience and Requirements
- NEBOSH OR IOSH Managing Safely Qualification.
- BIFM Level 4/5 Qualification.
- A minimum of four years of experience in premium asset management.
- Demonstratable experience in building positive working relationships with all stakeholders including the occupiers.
- Experience in managing and developing employees to outperform in their roles and deliver a superior level of customer service to occupiers.
- Capable of dealing with contentious and challenging situations.
- Experienced in managing tender processes and change management.
