M&E Bid Manager

Job Title: M&E Bid Manager
Location: Central London (Hybrid – 2-3 days WFH)
Salary: Negotiable

🚀 Play a Key Role in Shaping Winning Bids at One of the UK’s Most Innovative M&E Contractors

My client is a leader in complex MEP delivery across sectors including commercial offices, healthcare, data centres, and education. As part of a continued investment in the pre-construction, they are seeking a driven M&E Bid Manager to join their high-performing London team.

🔧 The Opportunity

Reporting directly to Pre-Construction Manager, this role offers the chance to play a hands-on part in crafting compelling, high-quality bid submissions. The position sits within a growing team comprising another Bid Manager and trainees, will see you work closely with a large estimating function and collaborate across departments including design, operations, and commercial (QS) teams.

You will support end-to-end tenders, with a strong emphasis on the qualitative side-particularly around sustainability and narrative development. This is not a standalone leadership bid role; rather, the ideal candidate will bring 3+ years’ experience owning and driving the written and qualitative aspects of M&E or construction bids within a collaborative, team-driven structure.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the qualitative submission process, working closely with design, operations, and commercial teams to gather and integrate content.
  • Shape bid strategy, coordinate inputs, and manage tender documentation in line with client requirements.
  • Write and review high-quality, engaging content with a focus on added value, sustainability, and win themes.
  • Support the bid through to PCSA stage, working with internal teams to align delivery plans with bid proposals.
  • Collaborate daily with the estimating team who own the cost elements of each submission.
  • Coordinate multiple stakeholder inputs and ensure timely completion of all bid components.
  • Help to continuously improve bid templates, libraries, and presentation quality.

✅ What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in M&E or construction bidding (qualitative focus essential).
  • Ideally from an M&E subcontractor or Tier 1/main contractor background.
  • Strong understanding of technical bid content, delivery methodology, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Confident communicator with strong writing, coordination, and deadline management skills.
  • Experience working closely with estimating, design, and commercial teams.

💼 What’s in it for You?

  • Join a respected national business with Tier 1 clients and a commitment to innovation and sustainability.
  • Support high-profile M&E projects from pre-construction through to delivery.
  • Flexible hybrid working (2-3 days WFH)
  • Competitive salary, car allowance, pension, bonus and full company package.
  • Career growth within a supportive and dynamic pre-construction team.
