Role Overview

A leading UK M&E contractor is seeking an M&E QA Manager/ Senior QS Engineer to play a lead role in the management of a landmark project in the Leicestershire region. This critical services scheme, valued at over £100 million M&E. This project is being delivered in partnership with a Tier One main contractor and a blue-chip end user. With both shell & core and fit-out phases, this project presents an exciting long-term opportunity for the right candidate to step into a regional position in the future.

This is the largest and fastest-growing region of the business, with a projected increase of over £100 million in turnover in the next two years – making it the ideal time to join a well-established yet ambitious contractor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the quality and assurance function across a £100 million M&E project, ensuring compliance with contractual, statutory, and client requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the project Quality Management Plan (QMP) in line with ISO standards and company procedures.
  • Oversee and manage inspection and test plans (ITPs), method statements, quality checklists, and other QA documentation.
  • Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and reviews to monitor installation quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Liaise closely with the design, project management, commercial, and construction teams to embed quality standards across all project phases.
  • Chair quality meetings with client representatives, consultants, and subcontractors, ensuring proactive resolution of quality issues.
  • Manage NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and oversee the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Drive a culture of quality excellence across the project, providing training, mentoring, and guidance to project teams and subcontractors.
  • Ensure all project handover documentation, O&M manuals, and as-built records are accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
  • Support commissioning and final project close-out activities, ensuring systems meet required performance and compliance standards.
