Job Title: Mechanical Design Manager
Salary: £80,000 – £95,000 (Plus additional company benefits)

A rapidly growing M&E Building Services Contractor who are based in Kent are looking for a Mechanical Design manager to oversee their design department. My client works with blue chip contractors in the London market and operate in the commercial office, residential, mixed-use & pharmaceutical sectors.
They are looking for said individual to come into the team to manage both the Mechanical & Electrical Design Engineers as well as to work on new and upcoming projects.
This is a stellar opportunity for any Senior Design Engineer that has been in their role for a number of years that is looking to take their career to the next level with a market leading M&E Contractor who work on some of the most complex & exciting projects in London whilst being on a market leading salary and package with lots of further progression still on offer. However, this is also a great opportunity for an experienced Design Manager to grow with an expanding company that are only going to grow further in the coming years.
Responsibilities/ Skills & Experience
- Degree in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience of seeing conceptual designs through to completion.
- Strong internal & external presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to use your own initiative and work under time constraints.
- Preference shown for candidates with experience using CAD, Revit, Microsoft office & Amtech.
- Preferred experience managing both Mechanical and Electrical Design Engineers.
- Providing accurate and detailed design in a timely manner.
- Ability to produce specifications, schedules, drawings, and any other contract documents developed through the RIBA work stages.
- Overall Engineering responsibilities for mechanical systems.
- Provide technical support for the Mechanical Design Team.
- Manage both the Mechanical & Electrical Design Teams
- Work closely with the Supply Chain to ensure best value and manages variations / value engineering / re-engineering.
- Support the Project Team on technical matters with either the client or stakeholders.

- Industry leading basic salary and packages (dependent on previous experience/ track record).
