Mechanical Maintenance Engineer -Oxford Street, London – Up to £38,000 Per annum

An exciting opportunity to work for an established FM service provider situated in Central London. My client is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to be based in a commercial office building located near Oxford Street in London. The successful candidate will be mechanically qualified / biased (C&G or NVQ) and have a good understanding of building services.

The ideal candidate for the role will be someone recently qualified and looking for a role that will further their knowledge and practical understanding. In return the company are offering a competitive salary, overtime and the chance to work at this very unique and interesting site.

Working with the maintenance team on site, He or she will be required to carry out mechanical and fabric maintenance to the following;

Duties:

  • Monitor mechanical plant
  • Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings
  • Air Conditioning – Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
  • Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
  • Plumbing – Unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers etc
  • Monitor the BMS systems
  • Basic electrical duties (Lamp changes etc)
  • General building fabric

Hours of Work & Salary

  • Up to £38,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday (40 hour week) – Mon-Fri – 8:00am-5:00pm
  • 25 Days Annual Leave
  • Overtime available

Requirements

  • Mechanical qualifications – NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 & 3
  • You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
  • A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • Multi-skilled
  • Good communication skills
