Mechanical Project Manager

Opportunity Summary

My client is a large tier 1 Mechanical & Electrical Contracting Company with an excellent client and sub-contractor reputation across London & overseas.

As a result of numerous contract awards, they’re looking to expand their team in 2023 for their flagship commercial design & build projects ranged from £5- £5 million M&E. This position would be reporting to the Operations Manager at their headquarters based in Central London.

Currently, they’re seeking to recruit a Mechanical projects Manager who is enthusiastic, self-motivated, a good team player but equally able to work on their own initiative.

The successful candidate should be capable of demonstrating previous successful experience of managing Mechanical projects within the range of £5 to £30 million, to be able to work under their own initiative from receipt of initial instructions to completion of the project.

Outline Brief of Requirements

  1. Read, understand and scrutinise contract documents, specifications and drawings.
  2. Preparation of Contract Health and Safety documentation.
  3. Preparation of Contract Technical submissions.
  4. Preparation of Contract Technical schedules.
  5. Preparation of Contract Works programmes.
  6. Attendance at Client / Professional Team meetings, pre and post Contract Award.
  7. Sub-Contract negotiation and appointment.
  8. Liaison with in-house BIM / Cad Departments.
  9. Liaison with Client / Contractor Site Management teams.
  10. Liaison and direction to Sub-contractor / Specialist Site teams.
  11. Overseeing CDP requirements and Specialists.
  12. Preparation of monthly contract reports for Operations Manager review and Client issue.
  13. Preparation of monthly contract applications and account reports.
  14. Preparation of variations and commercial submissions.
  15. Management of appointed Construction and Site Managers.
  16. Health and Safety reporting and management.
  17. Preparation of commissioning programmes.
  18. Liaison and management of commissioning activities.
  19. Client demonstration and handover.
  20. Proven ability to manage multiple projects at any one time.

The Employment Package

  • A starting salary between £70,000 & £80,000, subject to level of experience, with discretional performance related bonuses
