Job Title: Mechanical Site Manager
Day Rate: £200 – £230 (Depending on experience)
Weekly hours: 44 hours (Potential overtime)

A rapidly growing M&E Contractor in London are looking for a Mechanical Site Manager for their landmark £50 million MEP value residential project around London Bridge in partnership with a blue-chip contractor.
My client has been going strength to strength since covid and are looking for an experience Mechanical Site Manager to oversee the mechanical division of the project on site from conception through to delivery whilst ensuring site safety is adhered to and is handed over to the client’s specific requirements.
The individual will require large residential experience with a proven track record of successfully delivery a project from cradle to grave. This is a great opportunity to be a part of one of the largest redevelopment projects in London with the idea of being an ongoing contractor as they have recently acquired a new project in Canary Wharf.
Responsibilities/ Skills & Experience
Manage and coordinate the installation of the project’s mechanical systems ensuring
systems installation sign off and readiness for commissioning.
Manage the Mechanical Supervisors and the Subcontractors, overseeing the work of directly
employed plumbers and external contractors.
Monitor subcontractors progress ensuring the Project is delivered on time.
Manage and oversee the Mechanical pre-commissioning and commissioning including the
flushing, testing and chlorination of the systems.
Ensure appropriate quality and workmanship.
Implement the company quality processes and monitor the project, ensuring it is engineered
to the high standards expected.
Take ownership of mechanical issues and liaise with the Client(s) and Design consultants to
obtain closure and clarifications where necessary.
Assist the on-site construction team to ensure that subcontractors work to the programme
and construction sequence.
Be pro-active in allocating work and ensuring efficient deployment of subcontracts.
Ensure that safety standards are understood, implemented and maintained by all team
members and contractors.
Carryout Toolbox talks were required to the subcontractors.
Provide weekly update to the Contracts Manager & Projects Director.
Review of ongoing works and highlight potential defects or risks
Complete accurate project materials take off as allocated by the project procurement
process
Compile project and task specific RAMS and ensure they are updated in line with the project
progress
Directly manage the mechanical supervisors ensuring they are complying to the Cilantro
engineering quality assurance and health & safety procedures
