My client is looking for an experienced Building Maintenance Engineer to be based in a commercial office building situated in Barbican, London. The ideal candidate will be multi-skilled and Electrically Qualified with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. Duties:
- Lighting (Small installation, Fault-finding, Lamping, etc)
- Emergency lighting tests
- Control Panels
- Changing Ballast
- BMS System – Monitor (i.e. Hot & cold)
- Monitor mechanical plant
- Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings
- Air Conditioning – Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
- Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
- Plumbing – Unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers etc
- Carry out all aspects of M&E/Fabric maintenance
- Manage Subcontractors
- Maintain and update Log books
Hours of Work & Salary
- Up to £44,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday (40 hour week)
- 8:00am – 5;00pm
- On call rota
Requirements
- Electrically Qualified or Mechanically Qualified
- C&G / NVQ Level 2&3 – Essential
- C&G 17th Edition or 18th Edition (Desirable)
- You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
- A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
