National Compliance Manager – Facilities and Building Services

Job

A Compliance Manager within facilities and building maintenance is required by a leading service provider to provide strategy and governance to a nationwide blue-chip corporate client.

This is a strategic role to drive health and safety and statutory compliance, as well as contractual and engineering compliance, both to 100%.

This is a high-profile role within a global blue-chip account, with lots of opportunities for progression and succession planning.

Some travel is required, though all costs are recompensated.

You will be working for a leading facility and building maintenance service provider, based in the City of London. They are a globally established company with an impressive portfolio of blue-chip, corporate clients as well as across several other sectors.

Accountabilities:

  • Constantly review all Contractual – Engineering related Compliance, Assurance and Governance requirements, In line with SLA and KPI contractual requirements. Undertake regular audits of processes, policies, and engineering workplaces.
  • To deliver a best-in-class Technical Operation, by driving Clarity, Consistency, Compliance & Transparency through the deliverables to clients and colleagues.
  • Act as the trusted risk & compliance advisor and subject matter expert to the regional team, in relation to risk & compliance.
  • Ensuring Safe Systems of Work processes and procedures are at the forefront of the service delivery.
  • Ensure all staff fulfil their legal duty to take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and others who may be affected by their acts and omissions, and to follow all guidelines and instructions given in this respect. Experience and Requirements

  • Relevant Engineering or Health & Safety/Compliance based qualification, preferably to HND level.
  • Incorporated or chartered status is preferred but not necessary.
  • Thorough knowledge and experience of managing Engineering and maintenance operations gained in a large multi-site organisation.
  • Track record of creating and maintaining effective customer relationships.
  • Process-driven and thorough.

Depending on experience this job will pay £63,000 – 70,000 and comes with a generous package including 25 days of annual leave.
