The main purpose of this role is to ensure the delivery of Fire Safety Projects, with regards to established service offerings within the Passive Fire team, (Fire Doors, Fire Stopping & Fire Dampers) through effective planning and management.
The appointed Technical Project Manager will be expected to ensure that projects are delivered to specification, within the established time frame and budget.
The Technical Project Manager will be expected to be an expert within the organisation regarding building safety concerns. In addition, the appointed person will be responsible for supporting the department’s growth through the training of new recruits.
In conjunction with the Operations Managers and and Head Of Fire, the job holder will ensure that all client works are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements and to the highest level of quality.
With the support of the wider organisation, the appointed person will be expected to continue to develop their competencies and areas of expertise, to ensure client confidence and to continue to grow the service offering, inline with building safety guidance and regulations.
Desired requirements
- BSc or MSc in Building Surveying, Construction Management, Fire Safety Engineering or similar.
- Experience managing Fire Safety projects, including but not limited to Passive Fire and Fire Door Inspections.
- Detailed knowledge of relevant guidance and regulations, such as Approved Document B, BS9999 and BS9991.
- Proficient use of AutoCAD.
- Experienced in implementing guidance with regards to Fire Strategy Drawings.
- Ability to liaise with all key stakeholders, such as appointed Fire Engineers.
- Already a member, or aspiration to become a member of an accredited body, such as BM Trada, IFE, APM or PMP
