Job

A Senior Health & Safety Manager is required on 1 year fixed-term-contract to spearhead health and safety policy and compliance for data centre construction & maintenance projects.

This role spans the UK, Europe, and parts of Asia. It offers flexible working and exposure to one of the best companies in the business.

You will drive health and safety standards for new build projects, site capacity expansions and a portfolio of capital maintenance projects across the company’s Data Centre and technical infrastructure estates in the UK, Europe, and parts of Asia.

Exposure to and knowledge of mission critical equipment and systems is essential.

Accountabilities:

  • Oversee and enable the role out of compliance programmes and reporting.
  • You will have responsibility for H&S and QA over a large array of mission critical equipment.
  • Monitor and drive safety standards of all contractors and site personnel.
  • Conduct regular H&S inspections on projects and sites.
  • Investigate all injuries and review all accident reports, coordinating corrective measures with contractors or Subcontractor Personnel.
  • Lead the education and upskilling of all new staff in regards health and safety and compliance.
  • Also initiate and induct all new subcontractor on the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Pre-construction meetings, review site-specific safety plan and job hazard analysis (JHA), review training requirements, orientation.
  • Establish, monitor, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as well as QIRs for project teams to ensure continuous improvement. Analyses project KPIs, evaluates trends and provides improvement

Experience and Requirements

  • Working knowledge of mission critical systems equipment
  • Must be willing to travel on reasonable short notice within Europe, India and APAC or as required
  • Strong Understanding of construction safety and industry best practice
  • Strong background in Quality Management with ISO9001, 14001, 45001
  • Great communication skills across all levels of seniority
  • Worked in Mission Critical Environments or complex services construction projects
  • Previous experience in the UK, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
