Job Title: Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £90,000 – 100,000 (Plus additional company benefits)

Company Description

A globally recognised M&E Engineering & Construction company are actively seeking a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor for their Central London office & projects.

My client has been one of the leading contractors in the major commercial office, Critical Services (Data Centres & Banking), life sciences and industrial projects in the UK, mainland Europe and parts of North America for the past 30 years.

They are renowned for providing the full turnkey solution delivering projects from inception till competition from an engineering led background.

After another successful year of delivering projects for blue-chip contractors in London they have won several new major projects valued from £40- £70 million M&E in Central London and the surrounding zones.

To be put forward to the position you will need to have worked on projects valued upwards of £15 million M&E for blue chip contractors for a minimum of 6 years. The ideal individual will come not come from a freelance background as my client take pride in helping people achieve their career aspirations (eg. Chatership) and progressing their skills for the long term for both the business and your personal growth.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the Contracts Managers in the procurement of Sub-Contractor packages and the preparation of the Sub-Contract documents.
  • To be located between site and the head offices in London.
  • Project experience from upwards of £15 million MEP.
  • To be able to travel between London sites and the Central Head office.
  • Previous experience taking a project from conception through to handover.
  • Supporting the monitoring of the progress of the Works.
  • The preparation and submission of contractual notices and / or correspondence to both the Client and Sub-Contractors.
  • The preparation, submission and agreement of Interim Applications and Final Accounts.
  • Preparation of cash flows, monthly cost reports and analysis of budgets.
  • Attend monthly commercial meetings to provide update on any ongoing contract specific negotiations and overall job performance.
  • Compile monthly progress reports for both the Contracts team & Commercial Manager.
  • preparing material and subcontractor procurement, valuation of works and financial reporting.
  • Liaising, negotiating, and relationship building with clients and consultants on an on-going basis.
  • Be responsible for securing the successful financial delivery of projects by controlling costs, progressing monthly valuations, and managing variations and change orders.
  • Liaising with contracts, estimating and pre-construction teams to obtain full understanding of each project scope.
