Shift Leader – Critical Facilities

My client is seeking a Shift Leader with experience in critical experience (preferably in large corporate buildings). The shift is four-on-four-off, in a prestigious corporate building in the heart of London. LV and HV switching is a major part of the role and experience and relevant qualifications are a requirement. With extensive opportunities for training courses, the career progression available from this role is exceptional. Company

You will be working for a leading facility and building maintenance service provider in the City of London. They are an established company with an impressive portfolio of corporate and critical clients. Having recently won some new contracts across London, they are now in the process of growing their team to account for their success.

Accountabilities:

  • You will be expected to lead the planned and reactive maintenance to equipment not limited to; Single & three phase power, UPS, Power generators, H/V Switching, CRAC units, lighting, HVAC, pumps, motors, air conditioning, BMS operation.
  • Being second-in-command on your shift, you will be expected to undertake some supervisory duties such as tool-box-talks, distribution of work and so on.

Experience and Requirements

  • You must come from a critical background, having experience in corporate banking environments is preferable.
  • You will be an electrical engineer, 17th edition qualified (minimum) and have been HV qualified (AP15).
  • 3-5 years’ experience at Shift Leader/Supervisory level is essential.
  • This is a client-facing role that requires someone with the interpersonal skills to form working relationships with everyone from engineers to corporate directors.

Depending on experience this job will pay a package of c£54,000, with options to supplement your salary and comes with a generous package including a huge training budget, 7.5% employee pension contribution, medical insurance, high voltage training, life insurance, and an annual pay review.
