You will be electrically biased, keen to join a growing organisation, and confident to lead a team of four engineers with both mechanical and electrical engineering skills. HV certified and experienced in hands on HV Switching, you will lead a team to oversee the Planned and Reactive Maintenance of two to three buildings.
Based in a prime Northwest London postcode, this is a static site and a daytime role based on 7am till 7pm on a 4-on 4-off shift schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as the Duty Authorised Person (HV) whilst on shift leading teams during hands on high voltage switching.
- Understanding and using Building Management Systems.
- Providing technical support and guidance, identifying requirements for training, and implementing disciplinary procedures.
- Implementing and enforcing health and safety compliance, including fire prevention and detections systems such as VESDA, Fire Suppression Systems, and Fire and Voice Alarms.
- Required to Having an active involvement in planned and reactive maintenance for up to three buildings on this commercial site, including but not limited to:
- Variable speed drives
- Generators, load banks and controls
- AC, DC, single phase and three phase motors
- Emergency lighting
- Low voltage switch panels and associated breakers
- High voltage switch panels and the operation of high voltage systems including transformers and VCBs.
Experience and Requirements
- Electrical qualifications; C&G Electrical Installations levels 1 and 2
- 3 years of management or supervisory experience is preferred
- 5 years’ experience within building services maintenance
- Well-presented and confident in client facing responsibilities.
- HVAP status is necessary (C&G AP15)
- Hands on HV Switching experience
